With Professor Ishmael Palin announcing his retirement from his public role at the Palin Institute to pursue his own personal research into UAs and meta-alloys, Dr Arcanonn has issued a statement declaring the Canonn’s solidarity with the professor:

It is unfortunate that the Professor has been forced to make this decision but, given the undeniable existence of these ‘dark forces’ to which he refers, I support him wholeheartedly.

We’ve long had concerns that there are people out there with greater knowledge, or darker intentions, regarding UAs and meta-alloys: The secretive convoys, the unexplained rises in the value of UAs on the black market, hundreds of thousands of tonnes of meta-alloys bought from Obsidian Orbital by an unknown buyer, my death threats and Palin’s abduction – all are troubling.

We mourn the day that scientists feel the need to retreat to continue their work, but we will remain vigilant, and I personally look forward to visiting the professor on Maia A 3 A.
