Subject: Why, thank you :)

Nelson, my old friend - long time no see! How's it going over on that bucket of bolts you call Thompson Dock? Last time I was there I was given a complementary box of emergency repair patches and told 'if you see anything broken, please use these to help us out a bit.' I laughed hard and threw them in the trash. Evidently you science types are great at studying unknown artefacts and barnacles, but still can't tie your own damn shoelaces...

Probably shouldn't talk - Lerner Beacon is a fate-forsaken dump. I have to kick the toilet three times and make a ritual sacrifice of a Varatian hamster before it'll let me drop the kids off at the pool. Hoping to transfer to Kagan Vision soon, just gotta deal with those fools from the Varati Blue Public Limited. Honestly, who do they think they are, controlling a base like that in a system that's supposedly ours? It's a joke, I tell you. My deputy is stationed there for fate's sake, but not me, oh no: because "it's not safe", apparently.

Anyway, listen to me moaning. Heard you've got bigger problems: some issues keeping your Doctor Arcanonn safe over there. What was it? Oh yes, a spy!? Who'd have thought the geeks would be worth spying on? Perhaps the Doctor's upsetting a few people with his 'hug an alien' approach - wouldn't surprise me - he's far too naive if you ask me. I hope his underground bunker's got good ventilation, though: I think he's gonna be there for a while.

But, anyway, do let me know if there's anything I can help you with there - can't have one of the galaxy's foremost scientists under threat from luddite extremists can we? Especially if they're local...

Oh before I go, seems that I have some of your Commanders to thank for our recent victory over the VIU here in D3-43. Before you deny it - I've got the transaction records in front of me for millions of credits' worth of combat bonds going to pilots we know are allied to you. So the question is - who should I be sending my sloppy wet kisses to? Is it your part-time strategist Prof D.Luffy? Or you? Or are you not paying your scientists and pilots enough back over there in the old homestead, and they needed the money?

I would be a bit confused if they'd been told to come and help us after you so unceremoniously ejected us from Bond Hub. I did consider holding back half of these bonds to help pay the bill for replacing all those ships your lot destroyed back then.

Although, I did appreciate you escorting me off Bond personally, Nelson - that was very honourable of you.

Ursula

ps. I'll bet the VIU didn't know you were fighting against them, did they? You've been allies for some time haven't you. What are you lot up to? It's a Dangerous game to play, you know...

pps. Nice trick getting Arc out with the stealth fleet by the way. I assume that's what you did - we've logged about 10 or so flight plans leaving Thompson at the same time which are unaccounted for. Just so you know - we can play that game too ;)
